Biodun Stephen’s “Unclaimed” Shines Light on Struggles of Family Caregivers

“Unclaimed,” a film by award-winning filmmaker Biodun Stephen, will hit theaters nationwide on June 20, 2025.

The story explores the life of Dieko, a determined young woman who struggles to balance her career with the responsibilities of caring for her physically challenged grandmother. However, her life takes a turn for the worst when she is falsely accused of a serious crime. She is forced to battle public shame and a justice system determined to break her.

From the stables of the collaborative efforts of The Hook Entertainment, FilmTrybe and FilmOne Nigeria, the film features an emblem cast including both veterans and rising stars.

The cast members include Kunle Remi, Elma Mbadiwe, Timini Egbuson, Teniola Aladese, Jayeola Monje, Omowunmi Dada, Michael Ojoor and King Cregx.

“Unclaimed” promises to be a cinematic experience filled with suspense and intriguing revelations as Dieko struggles to reclaim her good name.
