The Demon Slayer Corps versus Muzan battle continues in the anime feature that has already taken Japan by storm.
“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Arrives in Nigerian Cinemas This September
Demon Slayer, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba, heads to cinemas worldwide on September 12, 2025.
Titled Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the action-fantasy film is a direct follow-up to the fourth season of the anime, continuing from the shocking cliffhanger that left millions of fans around the world eager for more. Set against the backdrop of the Infinity Castle, the film thrusts Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and the Hashiras into Muzan’s lair as they fight to the death against him and the other Upper Rank demons.
Produced by Akifumi Fuji, Masanori Miyake, and Yūma Takahashi, with Haruo Sotozaki returning as director, Infinity Castle is the first in a trilogy announced by Ufotable—the studio behind the anime franchise. The release dates for the remaining two films will be revealed later.
Much of the anticipation surrounding Infinity Castle lies in its stellar voice cast. Returning in the Japanese version are Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro, Akari Kitō as Nezuko, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke, and Reina Ueda as Kanao.
They are joined by the Hashira voices: Takahiro Sakurai as Giyu, Katsuyuki Konishi as Tengen, Kengo Kawanishi as Muichiro, Saori Hayami as Shinobu, Kana Hanazawa as Mitsuri, Kenichi Suzumura as Obanai, Tomokazu Seki as Sanemi, and Tomokazu Sugita as Gyomei. Akira Ishida once again lends his voice to Akaza, continuing one of the series’ most compelling antagonists.
The English dub carries equal weight, with Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro, Abby Trott as Nezuko, Aleks Le as Zenitsu, Bryce Papenbrook as Inosuke, and Brianna Knickerbocker as Kanao. Johnny Yong Bosch reprises his role as Giyu, alongside Ray Chase as Tengen, Griffin Burns as Muichiro, Erika Harlacher as Shinobu, Kira Buckland as Mitsuri, Erik Scott Kimerer as Obanai, Kaiji Tang as Sanemi, and Crispin Freeman as Gyomei. Lucien Dodge also returns as Akaza.
Adding a surprising twist, Infinity Castle introduces new voices to the English dub that have sparked intense discussion among fans. Hollywood actor Channing Tatum joins the cast as Keizo, Akaza’s former mentor, bringing star power and curiosity to the role. His casting has divided opinion—some fear it may overshadow the seasoned anime voice actors, while others welcome the crossover as a chance to bring new audiences to the franchise. Alongside him, Rebecca Wang voices Koyuki, Keizo’s daughter and a key figure in Akaza’s tragic past.
Infinity Castle had its domestic release in Japan in July 2025. Following its overwhelmingly positive reception, the film shattered box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2025 in Japan and the third highest-grossing film in the country’s history. So far, it has earned $294.5 million across Asia alone. With its worldwide release, it is expected to triple those numbers and potentially cross the billion-dollar mark globally.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle offers not only heart-pounding battles but also a deeper exploration of themes like sacrifice, loyalty, and the power of friendship.
