Nse Ikpe-Etim stars in Moses Inwang’s Lagos-set drama about love, control, and deception.
Nollywood drama “Devil Is a Liar” will debut on Netflix on August 15.
Set in Lagos, the film follows Adaora (Nse Ikpe-Etim), a successful woman who falls for Jaiye (James Gardiner), a man who appears flawless at first. As their relationship deepens, Jaiye’s controlling and manipulative behaviour begins to erode Adaora’s confidence.
Directed by Moses Inwang, whose credits include “Blood Vessel” and “Lockdown,” the film was shot in 2023 and written by Award-winning Tunde Babalola, known for “Funmilayo Randsom-Kuti”, “October 1”and “Citation’.
The cast also features Mercy Aigbe, Nancy Isime, Erica Nlewedim, Carolyn Hutchings, and Tina Mba.
