Inkblot Productions is set to release its latest project, “A Lagos Love Story”, on Netflix, marking a shift for the studio as it moves beyond theatrical releases.
Directed and produced by Naz Onuzo, the film follows the life of King Kator, a rising Afrobeats star navigating love, ambition, and the complexities of Lagos’ entertainment industry.
The cast features Mike Afolarin, Jemima Osunde, Uti Nwachukwu, Susan Pwajok, Chimezie Imo, Uche Montana, Linda Ejiofor, and Kalu Ikeagwu. Co-written by Onuzo and Ozzy Etomi, the film is expected to blend romance with the vibrant world of music, fashion, and celebrity culture.
This release is particularly significant for Inkblot Productions, known for box office successes like “The Wedding Party” and “The Set Up”. It marks the end of the studio’s exclusive three-year partnership with Prime Video, signaling a new era of collaborations.
For Afolarin, “A Lagos Love Story” adds another leading role to his growing filmography. After his breakout performance in “Far From Home”, the actor has become one of Nollywood’s rising stars, known for bringing depth and authenticity to his roles.
With its mix of romance, music, and high-profile performances, “A Lagos Love Story” is poised to capture audiences when it premieres on April 11.
