The last time English action star Jason Statham appeared on screen was in 2025’s A Working Man, where he portrayed a struggling construction worker on a desperate mission to rescue his kidnapped daughter.
Now, he returns to familiar territory in a new action thriller, this time as a former assassin on a self-imposed mission to protect his supplier. Titled Shelter, the film is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on January 30, 2026.
Joining Statham in the heart-thumping adventure are Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, and Bodhi Rae Breathnach, rounding out a cast that blends veteran gravitas with rising talent.
Shelter is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, best known for the Has Fallen franchise, and written by Ward Parry. The film is produced by Statham, John Friedberg, Brendon Boyea, Jon Berg, and Greg Silverman, with Black Bear Pictures, Statham’s Punch Palace Productions, Stampede Ventures, and Cinemachine serving as the production companies behind the project.
