The upcoming sports-horror film marks Marlon Wayans’ return to the big screen after a two-year hiatus.
HIM is set for worldwide release in cinemas on September 19, 2025.
The film follows a desperate football quarterback whose entire identity revolves around the sport. After a near-fatal injury threatens his shot at the NFL, he attempts a comeback by training with a retired quarterback whose methods seem extraordinary. However, as the training grows more intense—and more bone-chilling—the NFL hopeful realizes he may have made the grave mistake of falling under the tutelage of a bloodthirsty monster.
HIM stars comedy legend Marlon Wayans in his first big-screen role in two years, alongside Tyriq Withers, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Naomi Grossman, GiGi Erneta, Norman Towns, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000, and Tierra Whack.
Directed by Justin Tipping and produced by Jordan Peele (under his Monkeypaw Productions banner), Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, and Jamal Watson, the film originates from Hollywood’s celebrated Black List scripts. It was written by Skip Bronkie, Zack Akers, and Tipping himself.
Fans of both sports and horror can expect a chilling mix of football culture and fear—and with Peele as producer, HIM is bound to become one of the most talked-about horror films of the year.
