On Different Grounds, a dramedy directed by Mildred Okwo, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas this June.
At its core, the film centers on a wedding between two influential families and the events that unfold around it. It explores the tensions, expectations, and dynamics that emerge beneath the surface of elite households, alongside themes of love, sacrifice, and family relationships.
The project is directed by Okwo, known for La Femme Anjola, and produced by Nicolette Ndigwe-Kalu under HB & Q Impressions Productions.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Nkem Owoh, Uche Jombo, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Uche Montana, Patrick Doyle, and Oluwabamike Bambam. It also includes appearances by Big Brother Naija alumni Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, as well as Vineet Raina and Abena Akuaba.
Distributed by Cinemax, the film brings together talent from Nigeria, Ghana, and India.
