Netflix Is Bringing Crime Thriller “Blood Vessel”

Play Network Studios, recognized for its contribution to the Nigerian Film industry, is set to make history with its Netflix debut, “Blood Vessel.” Scheduled for release on December 8, this crime thriller navigates the uncharted waters of political unrest and personal risk.
The narrative unfolds around a group of six friends entangled in the tumult of a mega coup brewing in their Niger Delta hometown. Faced with the ominous unrest, they embark on a daring escape, becoming stowaways on a ship bound for South America. The film navigates the complexities of their journey as they find themselves caught in the crossfire of political turmoil.
Directed by the skilled Moses Inwang and produced by Agozie Ugwu, Arafat Bello-Osagie, and Roxanne Adekunle-Wright, “Blood Vessel” boasts a stellar cast featuring David Ezekiel, Adaobi Dibor, Alex Budin, Jide Kene Achufusi, Levi Chikere, Obinna Okenwa, and Sylvester Ekanem.
In August, Netflix, in its revelation of upcoming titles, showcased “Blood Vessel” as one of the highlights for the final quarter of 2023.
Charles Okpaleke, the driving force behind Play Network, provided glimpses into the making of the film on Instagram. : “Every morning on ‘Blood Vessel’ set, myself, @iamjidekene and @tori.meb (our drone pilot) will fly a drone to search for the most cinematic pathways to sail through for filming.” He wrote.
As the countdown begins to its Netflix release on December 8, audiences can anticipate a tale of friendship, escape, and the uncharted waters of political upheaval with “Blood Vessel,”
