“Twisters” Sets for Cinematic Debut in Nigeria on July 19

Nearly 30 years after the original “Twister” thrilled audiences, the much anticipated sequel, “Twisters,” is set to hit Nigerian cinemas on July 19, 2024, distributed by Filmone.

In the original “Twister,” Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt’s characters risked their lives chasing a violent tornado across Oklahoma to test their revolutionary ‘Dorothy’ weather prediction device.

“Twisters” introduces a new generation of storm chasers with no instinct for self-preservation. Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is a thoughtful, scientifically minded character eager to test new technology she believes could stop tornadoes. On the other hand, Tyler Owens (Glen Powell) is a showboating social media star and self-styled ‘tornado wrangler’ who thrives on the danger, living by the motto, “If you feel it – chase it!”

“Twisters” aims to bring the same intense action and excitement to a new generation, continuing the legacy of high-stakes storm chasing.

Produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, this film features a stellar cast including Anthony Ramos.

Internationally, “Twisters” will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 17, 2024, and in the United States by Universal Pictures on July 19, 2024.
