Born July 2, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. He gained recognition in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). His fifth studio album “Twice as Tall” won Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. On July 11, he dropped his eighth studio album, “No Sign of Weakness.”

Richard Evans Mofe-Damijo, born 6 July, popularly known as RMD, is an actor, writer, producer, lawyer, and former journalist with several accolades to his name.  In 2024, he was honoured with the Industry Merit Awards, alongside Iya Rainbow at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. After graduating from university with a Theatre Arts degree, Mofe-Damijo appeared in the soap opera “Ripples” but gained more popularity in rival soap “Checkmate.” He was nominated for the 2025 AMVCA for Best Supporting Actor category.  His notable performances include “Diamond Ring,” “Black Book,”  “Love is War,” and “Radio Voice.”

Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha, popularly known as Rita Dominic, born 12 July is a Nigerian actress who started performing as a child in school plays and children’s television shows in Imo State. In 1998, she starred in her first movie, “A Time to Kill” and has produced several movies including “The Meeting,” which she won the Top Actress Award in 2013, “The Therapist,” “Light in the Dark,”, “La Femme Anjola,” and “Baby Farm.” 

•  Ebuka Obi-Uchendu 

Born 14 July, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu is a media personality, known for hosting the reality show Big Brother Naija (also known as BB9ja), the long running Rubbin’ Minds talk show on Channels TV as well as co-hosting The Spot and Men’s Corner on Ebonylife television. In 2006, he went in as one of an eventual 14 housemates on the first season of the popular reality show Big Brother Nigeria, finishing in eighth place. To date, he is one of the most visibly successful BBN 2006 cast members. His reality TV show, “Ebuka Turns Up Africa,” was nominated for the 2025 AMVCA.

• Wizkid 

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid,  born 16 July is a singer and songwriter from Lagos. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. He rose to limelight after releasing “Holla at Your Boy”, the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles “Tease Me/Bad Guys” and “Don’t Dull.” In 2016, he achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the hit single “One Dance”, which reached number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100, the song broke multiple records, making Wizkid the first Afrobeats artist to appear in the Guinness World Records. In 2025, he released a documentary, “Wizkid: Long Live Lagos” which premiered at the Tribeca festival which will be available on HBO.
