The annual Headies Awards returned to Africa on April 27 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, after two years in Atlanta. Audiences were able to stream the ceremony live on YouTube (U.S.) and Hip TV (Nigeria).
Making history, Nigerian actress and model Nancy Isime became the first woman to host the event. She also performed, as the night featured artists like Blaqbonez, L.A.X., Qing Madi, Ayo Maff, Magnito, Juma Jux, INNOSS’B from DRC, Kcee, Odumodublvck, and Shallipopi.
With its “Unapologetically African” theme, the night saw Nollywood stars and music artists embrace their heritage through bold and stylish fashion statements.
