The annual Headies Awards returned to Africa on April 27 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, after two years in Atlanta. Audiences were able to stream the ceremony live on YouTube (U.S.) and Hip TV (Nigeria).

Making history, Nigerian actress and model Nancy Isime became the first woman to host the event. She also performed, as the night featured artists like Blaqbonez, L.A.X., Qing Madi, Ayo Maff, Magnito, Juma Jux, INNOSS’B from DRC, Kcee, Odumodublvck, and Shallipopi.

With its “Unapologetically African” theme, the night saw Nollywood stars and music artists embrace their heritage through bold and stylish fashion statements.

Here are some standout red carpet looks from the night:

Making her hosting debut, Nancy Isime wowed in three striking looks styled by Dahmola and designed by Aso Nigeria. Her first outfit—a sharp black-and-white suit with a fitted corset—showcased her toned legs and bold fashion sense. Blonde hair and a statement hat completed the fierce look.

Her showstopper came later in the evening: a multi-colored gold gown with shimmering details, a dramatic flared bottom, and a structured top that perfectly framed her silhouette—an unforgettable red carpet moment.
