Ayo “AY” Makun’s latest movie, “The Waiter” has had its premiere, but that doesn’t mean mouths have stopped talking about the event’s opulence.
On the day of the event, cameras spotted no less than a dozen luxury Rolls Royce wheels outside the Livespot Entertarium in Lekki, Lagos, including AY’s very own ride. Adding charm to what some have already started calling a “Rolls Royce Premiere” were the high-fashion displays at the red carpet from the movie’s cast.
Shaffy Bello stunned in her sparkling green two-piece ensemble as did Bucci Frankilin in his double-breasted stripped suit. RealWarriPikin went bold in a black suit with an audaciously broad white lapel, and Toke Makinwa and Regina Daniels’ outfits made equally bold statements. Also in attendance were Dino Melaye, Frank Edoho, Don Jazzy and Darey.
“The Waiter” is an action-comedy directed by Toka McBaror and stars Makun, Bello, Frankilin, Deyemi Okanlawon, Daniels, Rahama Sadau, Willaims Uchemba, and Makinwa. The story follows a hotel server whose uneventful shift takes a chaotic turn when an unexpected invasion turns the night upside down.
“The Waiter” hits cinemas nationwide on Dec. 20. Watch the trailer here.
