Actor and comedian Williams Uchemba has welcomed his second child, a boy, with wife, Brunella Oscar. The boy, named Ethan Chidubem Uchembah, was born in a London hospital on Dec. 9, 2024, with Uchemba referring to him as “My Good Gift” (more on this later).
Uchemba’s joyful arrival came in the most heartwarming announcement video one could think of. The 35-year-old’s nearly-four-minute video was posted on Instagram taking viewers through the rollercoaster of emotions that would-be fathers experience right from the moment the calls come in that the baby’s nine-month free rent has expired.
In the video, Uchemba can be seen racing from a meeting in Enugu to Lagos and then London—not before a necessary stop in Amsterdam for the connecting flight—to meet his wife who was deep in labor. By the time he was over the skies of Europe, the newest member of the Uchemba family was already breathing earth’s air. What followed upon finally meeting his wife and newborn was the usual euphoria and cuddles that follow, and the usual prayers. Uchemba’s first-born Chikamara, who was born in 2022, two years after his marriage with Brunella, was also present to meet her brother.
All this happened while “Atofarati,” an original unreleased song by Favour Ojo for the upcoming movie “The Good Gift,” played in the background. No release date has been pegged as of the time of this writing.
As at late October, a happy Uchemba announced on Threads that post-production of the movie had wrapped, asking fans “When should we release it??” Well, its fans who should be asking that question now.
