American singer-songwriter Alex Warren has finally earned a Billboard hit with his global single, “Ordinary”, which has reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after sixteen weeks on the chart.
On the chart dated June 4, 2025, the track rose from last week’s No. 4 position, having previously peaked at No. 2. It dethroned the former leader, “What I Want” by Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae, which was pushed down to No. 2.
With this achievement, Warren becomes the first male soloist to earn a Hot 100 No. 1 hit this year.

Additionally, the track holds the No. 1 position on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, solidifying its status as a global hit. It is also No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales Chart and Adult Pop Airplay, marking Warren’s first summit on the latter.
“Ordinary” is Warren’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is unlikely to be his last. The track is his second entry on the chart, following “Burning Down,” which peaked at No. 69 in October 2024. He also earns a third entry with “Bloodline”—a collaboration with country singer Jelly Roll—as it debuts at No. 32. This gives the artist one No. 1 hit and one top 40 Hot 100 hit.
Released on February 7, 2025, through Atlantic Records, “Ordinary” gained popularity on social media platforms like TikTok and experienced a significant boost in streams following Warren’s emotive performance of the song on the reality television show “Love Island.”
