The R&B crooner’s hit “Folded” rises to No. 7 on the weekly chart.
Kehlani earns her first top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, with twenty weeks on the chart and counting, “Folded” jumps from No. 14 to No. 7 on the chart dated November 9, 2025.
This milestone is especially significant for the R&B crooner, who has spent sixteen years in the music industry and previously charted songs such as “Ring” with Cardi B, “After Hours,” “Gangsta,” and “Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. “Folded” marks not only her first top ten entry but also her second top 40 hit overall, following “Ring.”
The single also earns Kehlani a double No. 1 on both the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts.
Released on June 11, 2025, “Folded” has enjoyed massive success online, with many fans declaring it the song that “saved R&B” this year — a nod to the genre’s limited presence in the Hot 100’s upper ranks. The single sparked the viral #FoldedChallenge, inspiring fans and celebrities alike to create their own renditions. Riding the momentum, Kehlani released a Homage Pack for “Folded,” featuring remixes by R&B veterans like Toni Braxton, Brandy, Tank, Ne-Yo, and Mario.
The only way is up for Kehlani. Her next single, “Out the Window,” drops on November 7, 2025, ahead of her fifth studio album, due next year.
