Olamide Reunites with Wizkid on New Single “Kai”

YBNL founder and rapper Olamide has released “Kai,” the lead single from his upcoming self-titled album Olamidé, set to drop on June 3, 2025.
The new track, which arrived on April 29, features Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid.
On “Kai,” Olamide shifts from his trademark street-hop grit to deliver a more refined, melodic performance. Wizkid complements the vibe with his signature smooth vocals, resulting in a breezy, head-bopping Afrobeats tune that’s already gaining traction as a potential summer anthem.
Running just under three minutes, the song has quickly become a trending topic on social media, with fans applauding its catchy lyricism and the visually sleek music video. According to Olamide, “Kai” also features background vocals from YBNL stars Fireboy DML and Joeboy.
This marks the sixth collaboration between Olamide and Wizkid, who have previously worked together on hits like “Omo To Shan,” “Kana,” “Totori” with ID Cabasa, “Confam Ni,” and the “For Example” remix with Kay Switch. Their continued musical chemistry shines on this latest offering.
With “Kai,” Olamide sets the stage for what could be one of his most sonically adventurous albums yet.
