Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù to Star in Netflix Thriller “All the Sinners Bleed”
British-Nigerian actor Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù has been cast as the lead in “All the Sinners Bleed,” a new Netflix crime thriller adapted from S.A. Cosby’s novel of the same name.
In the series, Dìrísù plays the first Black sheriff of a small Bible Belt county, haunted by his devout mother’s death. He soon finds himself leading the search for a serial killer who has been preying on his community for years — all in the name of God.
Developed by “Black Panther” co-writer Joe Robert Cole, the series will be directed in part by Cole, who also serves as showrunner. Production partners include Higher Ground Productions (founded by Barack and Michelle Obama), Amblin Television, Cosby, and Netflix.
A release date and full cast list have not yet been announced.
Dìrísù is known for his role in the British series “Gangs of London.” He also recently starred in Akinola Davies Jr’s “My Father’s Shadow,” which became the first Nigerian feature to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
