Nine Nigerian titles Make AFFIF’s Official Selection List

Africa Films For Impact Festival (AFFIF) has revealed its official selection for its upcoming 2025 festival featuring 40 films across Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and the United States of America.

 

Out of the selected films, nine indigenous Nigerian films makes the list; Promise Okaah’s Caged Bird, Daurama Foundation’s Voices Within, Prince Daniel’s Kaka and David Amuasua’s Leading Lines.

Other notable selection set to be screened at AFFIF includes Jumoke Azeez’s Seed, Onyedikachi Aliyu Erete’s Dying for Water and Allison Emmanuel’s The Boy Who Gave.

 

The annual film festival positions itself as a reminder to filmmakers that beyond fiction and fantasy, filmmaking is a powerful medium to amplify human rights and social justice.

The festival will run from October 29-31, 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria.
