AGN International Festival Heads to Los Angeles to Celebrate Nigerian Actors

The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s annual festival promises a showcase of Nollywood talent and global collaboration.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) gears up for the second annual Actors Guild of Nigeria International Festival (AGNIF), Set to take place from August 8 to 10, 2024, at the Dream Magic Studios in Los Angeles, California.

 

This festival aims to celebrate the best of Nigerian film and television actors under the theme “The Actors Marketplace.”

 

Emeka Rollas Ejezie, the president of AGN, shared in a statement that the festival will be held in association with the Africa Travel Film Festival (AFTRAFF) and Dream Magic Studios.

 

With a diverse range of activities planned, including film screenings, panel discussions, city tours, workshops, and seminars, the festival provides a unique platform for cultural exchange and creative collaboration between Nollywood and the international film industry.

 

Leading up to this grand event, AGN announced 29 new appointments, showcasing a mix of experienced professionals and fresh talent to contribute to the growth and development of the guild.

 

Notable names in the appointments include Gideon Okeke as SA on Intellectual Property, Charles Inojie as Director of AGN Film Project, Hilda Dokubo as Director of Training for Members, and Deyemi Okanlawon contributing to Planning/Strategy and many others.

The diversity of roles reflects AGN’s commitment to addressing various aspects of the industry, ensuring a comprehensive and strategic approach to its development.

 

The festival, being a vital event for Nollywood, provides a global stage to showcase the incredible talent within the industry.

 

Supported by key entities such as the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, the Nigerian Film Corporation, the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, and the Bank of Industry, among others, the AGN International Festival is poised to elevate Nigerian cinema on the world map.
