Alive Till Dawn, the zombie thriller produced by Uzor Arukwe and Leo Obienyi, has grossed ₦40 million at the Nigerian box office after two weeks in cinemas.

Arukwe, who also stars in the film, shared updated earnings on Instagram, noting that the film added ₦12.8 million in its second week after opening with about ₦20 million. The cumulative total covers earnings across Nigeria and Ghana.

The film ranked fourth on the Nigerian box office weekly chart, recording 6,946 admissions during the period.

Despite maintaining momentum in its second week, the film falls about ₦10 million short of Arukwe’s earlier projection that it would reach ₦50 million by this stage of its run.

Set around a sudden zombie outbreak at a Nigerian police station, Alive Till Dawn explores themes of survival, fear and loyalty while entering a genre rarely explored in Nollywood.

The film has drawn mixed reactions for its premise and execution, but its current performance keeps it on track for further box office growth as its cinema run continues.
