“The Almajiri” Enters Post-Production After Wrapping Filming in Kano and Abuja
The Almajiri, the eleventh film under the First Features Project, has wrapped principal photography and entered post-production.
Directed by Jammal Ibrahim, the film was shot across Kano and Abuja and explores themes of survival, hope, and resilience.

The film stars Yakubu Mohammed, Ijapari Ben-Hirki, Jamila Yahaya Ibrahim, Ahmad Isa, and Sani Mu’azu. Director of Photography Gideon Chukwu lends a grounded, realistic tone that reflects the film’s human story.
Produced under Natives Filmworks and MichelAngelo Productions, The Almajiri is now being fine-tuned for a 2025 release.
