The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has announced nominees for its 12th edition, with Gingerrr and The Herd leading with nine nominations each.
The nominations were unveiled on Sunday, March 29, 2026, during a live broadcast on Africa Magic channels hosted by actor Chimezie Imo.
To Kill A Monkey followed with eight nominations, while My Father’s Shadow secured seven, placing the four titles among the most recognised projects this year.
In the acting categories, Sola Sobowale earned nominations in both lead and supporting categories. Uzor Arukwe and Lateef Adedimeji also received multiple nods, while Genoveva Umeh picked up a Best Lead Actress nomination.
The awards span 32 categories, including 18 jury-decided awards, 11 audience-voted categories and three special recognition honours across film, television and digital content.
Voting for public categories opened on March 29 via the AMVCA website.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold on May 9, 2026.
