Five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo has announced her upcoming studio album Hope, scheduled for release on April 24, 2026.
The 14-track project, which has been in development for five years, is dedicated to her late mother, Yvonne. The album features a wide range of collaborators, including Davido, Ayra Starr, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Quavo, Charlie Wilson, PJ Morton, Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz, Iza, Florent Pagny, Dadju, Nigerian duo The Cavemen, and Soweto Gospel Choir.
Kidjo described the album as a deeply personal project in a post shared on Instagram.
“Five years in the making, my new album Hope dedicated to my mother Yvonne is coming out on April 24. She taught me that every dream I had could be accomplished and that hope for a better future is what makes us human,” she wrote.
The collaboration with Davido continues their growing working relationship following Kidjo’s track “Joy” and Davido’s song “Na Money” from his album Timeless.
Hope will be Kidjo’s 19th studio album in a career spanning nearly five decades. Over that period, she has earned 16 Grammy nominations and five wins, becoming one of the most internationally recognised African artists through her blend of African musical traditions, pop, and multilingual songwriting.
