Following its Oscars victory, Sean Baker’s “Anora” has seen a staggering 594% increase at the box office, grossing $1.9 million over the weekend.

The film, which won five Academy Awards—including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Editing—has now earned over $44 million worldwide on a modest $6 million budget.

“Anora” has continued to climb the domestic box office rankings, returning to the Top 10 after an 854% surge in earnings last Thursday. It also made history as the first American production in over a decade to win both the Palme d’Or and the Best Picture Oscar.

Despite its financial success, “Anora” has sparked mixed reactions among critics and audiences, adding to the buzz surrounding its post-Oscars resurgence.
