The Afrobeats sensation’s songs will now be distributed globally through Gamma.
Asake has officially signed a new global distribution deal with Gamma., a Los Angeles-based multimedia company co-founded by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson.
The partnership will run through Asake’s newly launched imprint, Giran Republic.
Since debuting in 2022 under Olamide’s YBNL Nation, Asake has become one of Afrobeats’ most dynamic forces, delivering a stream of hits and high-profile collaborations across continents. His initial distribution was handled through YBNL’s partnership with EMPIRE, which helped propel him to global recognition.
Speculation about a shift in label affiliations began circulating in early 2025 due to the absence of YBNL and EMPIRE credits on his recent singles “Why Love” and “Badman Gangsta,” featuring Tiakola.
According to TurnTable Charts, “Badman Gangsta” was distributed by Gamma., signaling a new chapter in Asake’s branding and global reach.
The deal also reflects Gamma.’s growing footprint in Africa, particularly Nigeria as the company continues to invest in local talent while bridging Western acts with emerging audiences across the continent.
Other artists signed to Gamma. include Moily, Sexyy Red, Snoop Dogg, and Usher.
