Ayra Starr has officially joined Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by hip-hop mogul JAY-Z.

The announcement follows recent speculation sparked by Roc Nation’s social media posts celebrating Starr’s BET Awards win and promoting her upcoming single, “Hot Body.”

Confirmation came with the appearance of a dedicated artiste profile for Starr on Roc Nation’s official website, solidifying the partnership. She becomes the second female Nigerian artiste on the label, after Tiwa Savage.

While Starr is now part of Roc Nation’s global roster, she remains signed to her original Nigerian label, Mavin Records — a common industry arrangement that allows artistes to retain local backing while leveraging international networks for broader exposure.

The deal is a strategic move expected to amplify Starr’s global presence. It also coincides with several major career milestones, including her current world tour with Coldplay and her upcoming acting debut in the film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel, “Children of Blood and Bone.”

Roc Nation’s extensive roster includes some of the world’s biggest music stars, such as Rihanna, Megan Thee Stallion, A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, J. Cole, and Alicia Keys, spanning management, distribution, and publishing divisions.
