Behind the Scenes has grossed ₦2.57 billion at the Nigerian box office, extending its run as the highest-grossing film in the market’s history.
According to data from the Nigeria Box Office, the Funke Akindele-directed film earned ₦43.7 million in its ninth weekend, finishing at the top of the weekly chart. The figure is more than double the ₦20.4 million posted by second-placed Oversabi Aunty.
The film, which already became the first Nigerian title to cross the ₦2 billion mark, now stands at a cumulative 434,648 admissions. It is also closing in on the long-standing admissions record held by Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2020), another Akindele production, and is roughly 15,000 tickets away from surpassing it.
Akindele, who serves as producer and director, acknowledged the milestone in a post on X, congratulating the cast and crew on the film’s continued box office performance.
Since its December 2025 debut, Behind the Scenes has remained a consistent chart-topper. Earlier in its run, it became the fastest Nigerian release to reach ₦500 million and the only Nollywood title to gross ₦100 million daily across three consecutive days. It also set a record for the highest weekend admissions for a local film, selling 59,559 tickets between December 26 and 28, 2025.
