MultiChoice teases new edition with biggest prize yet and returning host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu
Big Brother Naija will return for its tenth season with a double premiere on July 26 and 27, 2025, as announced during a press conference organised by MultiChoice in Lagos on July 16.
A new teaser released ahead of the launch recaps some of the most talked-about moments from past editions, building anticipation for what has been tagged the milestone season. Themed “Certified,” Season 10 is set to run for 71 days and will feature a mix of romance, strategy, and drama — elements that have come to define the reality series.
Returning as host is Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who has anchored the show since its second season. This year’s winner will walk away with ₦150 million, the biggest cash prize in the history of the show.
The press conference brought together key figures from the BBNaija community, including Dr. Busayo Tejumola, Head of General Entertainment Channels at MultiChoice Group; former housemates Wanni and Handi; and Tope Oshunkeye. In her remarks, Dr. Tejumola said the new season represents more than just entertainment.
“This tenth edition is a celebration of the show’s legacy and the role it continues to play in spotlighting Nigerian youth culture,” she said. “It’s not just about the drama — it’s about creativity, identity, and community.”
The show will air on Africa Magic Family and Africa Magic Showcase, available on both DStv and GOtv platforms.
