Blue Pictures Entertainment Seeks Fresh Talent for “Bwari Blue” Under NextGen Films Initiative Banner

Blue Pictures Entertainment, a prominent film distribution company, in collaboration with FilmTribe Media, has officially opened the casting call for their new project, “Bwari Blue”—the inaugural film under NextGen Films Initiative.

The companies are seeking fresh talent—both male and female—with acting experience and the ability to deliver compelling monologues, switching seamlessly between English and Nigerian Pidgin. Interested applicants must submit their entries before the June 2, 2025 deadline.

“Bwari Blue” is produced by Joy Odiete, CEO of Blue Pictures Entertainment, and AMVCA 2025 Trailblazer winner Kayode Kasum, under his production company FilmTribe Media. The film was awarded Best Pitch at the 2023 NextGen Conference.

Speaking on the project, Kasum stated, “It’s more than a film—it’s a platform, a mentorship path, a spotlight for the next generation of Nigerian storytellers.”

Filming for “Bwari Blue” is scheduled to begin this summer in the cities of Lagos and Abuja.

The NextGen Films Initiative is a production outlet created by Odiete, aimed at nurturing and showcasing the next generation of Nigerian talent in film. It is envisioned as a springboard for Nollywood’s future stars.
