Bluhouse Studios has released the official trailer for Call of My Life, the feature directorial debut of Apampa Oluwadamilola Owolabi, popularly known as Dammy Twitch. The trailer arrived on Valentine’s Day.
Written by and starring Uzoamaka Power, the romantic comedy follows Soluchi, a call-centre agent still recovering from heartbreak. When a routine customer call connects her to Eli, played by Andrew Bunting, she begins to reconsider what love might look like for her.
The film also features Zubby Michael in a lead role, alongside a supporting cast that includes Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Beverly Osu, content creator Justin UG in his acting debut, and Broda Shaggi. The film will also feature live performances from Johnny Drille and Cobhams Asuquo.
Produced by Blessing Uzzi for Bluhouse Studios, Call of My Life marks the studio’s second theatrical outing following Freedom Way. Power and Bunting previously appeared in My Body God’s Temple, part of the Zikoko Life anthology, also written by Power and produced by the studio. Bluhouse Studios has built a slate that includes titles such as Siraam and Obi Is A Boy.
Dammy Twitch is known for directing commercials and music videos for Afrobeats artists including Davido, and previously directed the 2023 short film I Hate It Here. Call of My Life is expected to open in cinemas nationwide later this year.
