Bolanle Austen Peters, known for her films “The Man of God” and “Collision Course,” revealed that she was inspired to bring Ransome-Kuti’s story to the big screen because of its relevance in today’s context.

 

Austen Peters shared the inspiration behind her latest film, “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti,” and discussed its importance in promoting women’s empowerment and inspiring young women in an exclusive interview with The Nollywood Reporter.

 

The biopic, which chronicles the life of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, a prominent Nigerian feminist and activist, has been captivating audiences since its nationwide debut on May 17, 2024.
