BRS Studio Unveils Three New Slate of African Films for 2025

BRS Studios—a collaboration between Blue Pictures, Ramsey Films, and Sozo Films in partnership with MBO Capital—has announced a new slate of African films set for release in 2025.
In an shared update via Instagram on May 21, Nouah stated that the new projects aim to build on the success of “Tokunbo,” which debuted on Netflix and made the Top 10 list in over 50 countries.
“Following the breakout success of Tokunbo, which soared into Netflix’s Top 10 across over 50 countries, BRS Studios unveils its bold new slate of African films: Dambe, Iwa Akwa, and Stitches,” he wrote.

According to Nouah, the goal is to tell authentic African stories capable of resonating globally.
“Pioneered by Chris Odeh, Joy Odiete, and Ramsey Nouah, this marks a pivotal stride in scaling African cinema to global audiences; crafting stories that are rooted in heritage, driven by excellence, and designed to resonate worldwide,” he added.
With BRS Studios and its recently unveiled film projects, Nouah and his partners are speculated to open a new chapter for Nollywood globally.
