“Captain America: Brave New World” Nears N300 Million at Nigerian Box Office

Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” has maintained its number-one spot at the Nigerian Box Office, closing in on the N300 million milestone after three weeks in cinemas.
According to the latest Top Six Movies ranking by the Nigerian Box Office, the film earned an additional N43.9 million between February 28 and March 2, bringing its total to N298 million. It remains the highest-grossing film in Nigeria, followed by Timini Egbuson’s Reel Love, which stands at N224.9 million after adding N34 million in its third week.
Directed by Julius Onah, Brave New World debuted with N137.5 million in its opening weekend, marking Nigeria’s biggest premiere of 2025. Distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, it also led the box office from February 14-16, highlighting the strong demand for blockbuster superhero films in the country.
Globally, “Captain America: Brave New World” has grossed over $341.8 million, surpassing The Incredible Hulk ($265.5 million) and The Marvels ($199.7 million). As it continues its cinema run, the film is projected to cross the $400 million mark, putting it in the league of Eternals ($401.7 million) and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ($432.2 million).
