Nigerian singer-songwriter Chike is back with new music! Ahead of the release of his third album “Son of Chike,” he released “Man Not God” on Jun. 20.

The inspirational single, sung entirely in his native Igbo language, and pidgin, shows Chike’s soft side as he encourages his listeners to praise God, and not try to cut corners when it comes to their worship of Him.

Speaking on the single, Chike wrote on Instagram, “… (Man Not God) is not a song. It is a testimony that Man Not God.”

The single from his third album sets the tone for a collection of songs aimed at inspiring listeners.

Chike is recognized as one of Nigeria’s most prolific soul singers. His soothing and smooth vocals have been featured in hits like “Running (To You),” “Egwu,” and “If You No Love.” His first album “Boo of the Booless,” released in 2020, became a sleeper hit and was nominated for several awards at the annual Headies Awards. His sophomore album, “The Brother’s Keeper,” released two years later, secured his first Headies win for Best R&B Album after several nominations.
