Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” has emerged as the front-runner for the upcoming BAFTA Film Awards, securing a staggering 13 nominations.
The British director, known for his cinematic prowess, has yet again captured the attention of the industry with this remarkable achievement.
The annual BAFTA Film Awards, organized by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), aim to recognize outstanding contributions to cinema, both British and international. The nominations were officially unveiled on the BAFTA website, setting the stage for what promises to be a night of glamour and celebration.
Following closely behind “Oppenheimer” is “Poor Things,” which garnered an impressive 11 nominations, showcasing its strong presence in this year’s lineup. Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ secured a commendable nine nominations, further highlighting the fierce competition in various categories.
Notably, “Barbie” and “Saltburn” both earned five nominations each, adding diversity to the list of contenders.
Former ”Doctor Who” star David Tennant is set to host the prestigious ceremony which will unfold on February 18 in London.
