Nigerian filmmaker and director Dele Doherty has teased his upcoming short film, Clairvoyant Dorcas, signalling a return to the psychological storytelling style that defined his Prime Video feature, Landline.
Doherty unveiled the project on Instagram, sharing a brief teaser trailer that offers an early look at the film’s tone and cast. The short film stars veteran actress Elvina Ibru alongside Anthony Nwahiri, with supporting performances from Durotimi Okutagidi and Chidinma Udemadu.
Clairvoyant Dorcas also features Jude Dubem, Toke Tinde, Titil’ Ayinke, and Nneoma Onyekwele, and is positioned as another layered, character-driven story from the filmmaker.

According to Doherty, who serves as writer, director, editor, and producer on the project, the short film was shot in mid-2024 and has been in post-production for over a year, reflecting a deliberate and measured creative process.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, Clairvoyant Dorcas represents another strategic step in Doherty’s evolving body of work, as he continues to refine his cinematic language through short-form storytelling.
