Nollywood psychological thriller “Landline” has climbed to the No. 1 spot on Prime Video Nigeria, just six days after its official release on the platform.
Written and directed by Dele Doherty, the film marks his debut feature and is already earning wide attention for its suspense-filled plot and minimalist approach.
Doherty announced the milestone via his Instagram page, celebrating the achievement as a sign of divine favor.
“We are number one, baby! Have you seen ‘Landline’ yet? Catch us at the top spot on Prime Naija,” the director wrote.

The update comes shortly after “Landline” had reached No. 2 on the platform, before surging to the top of the chart.
Starring Zainab Balogun and Gabriel Afolayan, the film follows a time loop narrative centered on a mysterious phone call. Its tight setting and limited cast have drawn praise for delivering high tension and emotional impact with modest resources.
“Landline” continues to spark online conversations and reviews, with viewers applauding its twist-driven storytelling and psychological depth.
