“Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” Smashes Opening Weekend Projection in Nigeria
Following a N70 million to N100 million opening weekend projection, Japanese animated action film, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, has not only hit the mark but also dominated the Nigerian Box Office.
Emerging on the number one spot of the Top Six Movies, as recently shared, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle made N82.4 million opening weekend debut in Nigeria.
The anime’s earnings overtook that of The Conjuring: Last Rites’ two-week cinema earnings (N73.1 million), displacing it to second place.
In third place comes Ibrahim Yekini’s Nollywood epic, Abanisete: The Ancestor, which grossed an additional N9.5 million to make a total of N141.9 million profit in five weeks.
Notably, the opening weekend of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle (N82.4 million) surpassed Long Walk (N8.7 million) by a landslide of N73.7 million despite sharing the same cinema debut.
