Barely a day after teasing her fifth studio album, Nigerian artiste and vocalist, Simi has revealed the album’s track list.
The new album, titled “Lost and Found” is to be released on July 5 and features 14 tracks boasting a diverse line-up of performers such as legendary musician Ebenezer Obey, acclaimed singer-songwriter Asa, and contemporary stars like Bella Shmurda, Lojay, and Ladipoe.
This includes already-known collaborations from the pre-release singles with Falz on “Borrow Me Your Baby and Tiwa Savage on “Men Are Crazy.”
The Ojuelegba-born singer broke news of the track list to her combined 28 million followers on social media, with her husband, popular singer-songwriter, Adekunle Gold, unsurprisingly joining forces in publicizing.
Accompanying the announcement is an album trailer which features Simi on a beach in search of a hidden chest, with occasional flashbacks throughout her career journey interrupting the two-minute, twenty three-second video.
Fans already have an inkling of what’s to come on “Lost and Found” thanks to a lengthy caption which Simi had earlier posted during the album reveal.
In it, she describes her latest project as a journey of self-finding and “reclaiming her chemistry with music, melody and love stories.”
These themes are evident on pre-releases such as “All I Want,” “Borrow Me Your Baby” ft. Falz and “Men Are Crazy” ft. Tiwa Savage where she wants for love, albeit without the associated stress.
“Lost And Found,” when released, will be Simi’s fifth album, after “Ojaju” (2008) “Chemistry” (2017), a joint project with Falz, “Simisola” (2017), “Omo Charlie Champagne” (2019), and “To Be Honest” (2022).
