The sports action film surpasses “Iyalode” and “Ballerina” to claim the top spot.
Joseph Kosinski’s “F1: The Movie” has raced to the top of the Nigerian box office, grossing ₦56.5 million in its opening weekend.

According to The Nigerian Box Office, the American sports drama released on June 27, 2025 dethroned “Ballerina” with a ₦26.5 million margin. The third installment in the John Wick universe earned ₦33 million during the same period.
Toyin Abraham’s “Iyalode” came in third, adding ₦31.2 million in its fourth week and pushing its cumulative gross to ₦275.2 million.
Meanwhile, “Megan 2.0” debuted at a distant fourth with ₦18.8 million, followed by “Mission: Impossible 8” and “28 Years Later”, which earned ₦13.9 million and ₦12.5 million respectively.
