Messy, a short film collection by writer-director Fatimah Binta Gimsay, will premiere on the Kava TV streaming platform on February 12.

The project brings together three short films; Laraba & Balarabe, Ijo, and Fine Girl — each exploring modern relationships from different perspectives. The stories examine themes including emotional manipulation, romantic tension, friendship and vulnerability within contemporary young-adult experiences.

Fine Girl stars Martha Ehinome and Obehi Aburime, while Ijo features Genoveva Umeh and Charles Etubiebi. Susan Pwajok and Mallum Arik lead Laraba & Balarabe.

Written and directed by Gimsay, Messy focuses on the complexities and awkward moments that shape present-day relationships. Its release on Kava TV adds to the growing presence of short-form storytelling on streaming platforms.
