Fatimah Binta Gimsay, Nigerian Film Director and Screenwriter behind Lowkey Adults and Laraba and Balarabe, has teased an upcoming series, The Monologue Room, marking the director’s first project of 2026.
The director recently shared the title of the project with a cast reveal featuring Emeka Nwagbaraocha, Omawunmi Dada and Chimezie Imo.
Other actors on the project include Gbubemi Ejeye, Mallam Arik, Wumi Tuase, Tomiwa Tegbe, Linda Ejiofor and Shamz Garuba, who will all play different characters in monologue performances for nine distinctive stories.
Written by Gimsay, Nora Awolowo and Abdul Tijani-Ahmed with Nicole Ofoegbu serving as the producer, The Monologue Room will drop in volumes and this marks the first part of the project.
The project release date remains under wraps.
