Filmhouse Group has partnered with the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) to equip young Nigerians with creative industry skills.

The nitiative features interactive sessions with industry experts, including AFRIFF Founder Chioma Ude, Filmhouse Group’s Chief Content Officer Ladun Awobokun, and UCA’s Marshall Michelle.

A key highlight is today’s fireside chat, “The Business of Film,” where Ude and Awobokun will discuss the intersection of creativity and commerce.

AFRIFF has also partnered with the Lagos State Government to promote youth empowerment and skills development. This aligns with the state’s broader strategy to harness creative industry opportunities, particularly during the “Detty December” tourism season.

Filmhouse Group CEO Kene Okwuosa emphasized the importance of investing in young creatives, while Ude highlighted the initiative’s role in providing early industry exposure. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between education and professional opportunities, cultivating skilled talents and driving sustainable growth in Nigeria’s creative sector.
