FilmOne Entertainment has announced Evi, an Afrobeats musical written and directed by Uyoyou Adia, scheduled for release in cinemas nationwide in March 2026.
The distributor shared the update via X (formerly Twitter), describing the project as a female-led musical that focuses on the experiences of women working across music and film.
Written and directed by Adia, the film is produced by Judith Audu, continuing their creative partnership after L.I.F.E (2024).
The story centres on a popular singer whose career unravels after her record label drops her without pay. With the support of her best friend and manager, she works to rebuild her career while confronting questions of identity and self-worth.

Featuring original songs, Evi stands out as one of the few musical films within Nollywood’s commercial space.
The film is co-produced by Audu, Adia and Damilola Osikoya under Judith Audu Productions, Switch Visuals Productions, Signet Rings Productions and NOI Productions.
FilmOne Entertainment will handle the distribution, adding Evi to its growing slate of locally produced titles set for theatrical release.
