Five Nigerian filmmakers have been selected for the 7th edition of the Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF), which runs from August 4–9, 2025, in Ghana.

Their works are among 55 short films chosen from 31 countries for Africa’s premier independent short film showcase.

The selected titles include Nneoha Ann Aligwe’s “Enyo (Reflection),” Temi Ami-Williams’ “Hope,” Moses Ipadeola’s “The Bride’s Tears,” Damilola Solesi’s “Hadu,” and Faustina Okomayin’s “Ralia’s Secret.”

AiF continues to spotlight bold storytelling and emerging talent across Africa and beyond. With its focus on fresh voices and the power of short-form cinema, the festival offers a platform for new filmmakers to gain international visibility and access vital industry networks.

This year’s programme includes narrative films, documentaries, animation, and special screenings, with the event culminating in a closing awards gala. In addition to screenings, AiF will host workshops, industry panels, and the AiF Creative Education Fair, all aimed at nurturing the next generation of storytellers.

Festival organizers say registration and full programming details will be announced soon.
