Gunna’s “One of Wun” Eyes Record-Breaking Feat in Nigeria’s Apple Music Charts

Since its release on May 10, 2024, *One of Wun*, the fifth studio album by American rapper Gunna, has spent an impressive 27 weeks in the Top 10 of Nigeria’s Apple Music Albums chart.

Currently ranked eighth on the charts, the 20-track album is on track to become the first non-Nigerian project to spend 30 weeks in the Top 10, a feat in a chart typically dominated by Nigerian talent.

Though the album is ranked No. 18 as of this writing, Wizkid’s *Made in Lagos* holds the record for the longest-charting Top 10 album, with 106 weeks as of September 2024. As noted by Album Talks on X, *Made in Lagos* is the only album to remain in the Top 10 across five different years.

Other notable albums charting in the Top 10 as of September 2024 include Omah Lay’s *Boy Alone* (63 weeks), Asake’s *Work of Art* (50 weeks), Burna Boy’s *Twice as Tall* (56 weeks), Chike’s *Boo of the Booless* (53 weeks), and Asake’s *Work of Art* (50 weeks).

On Spotify, the chart is more fluid, with Asake’s *Mr. Money With the Vibe* currently holding the record for the longest-charting album, with an impressive 107 weeks after surpassing Omah Lay’s *Boy Alone* (103 weeks) on December 4, 2024.

Gunna’s *One of Wun* is poised to hit the 30-week milestone in the Top 10, reflecting his growing popularity in the Nigerian market. The artist is currently the only foreign act with two albums—*One of Wun* and *A Gift & a Curse*—charting in the Top 50 of the Nigeria Apple Music Albums chart.

However, competition from Rema’s *HEIS* and Seyi Vibes’ *Loseyi Professor*, both of which are aiming to reclaim their Top 10 spots, could present a challenge.
