The adult animated comedy from Rick and Morty writer Matt Roller secured renewal after a strong debut and global Top 10 ranking.
Netflix has renewed the adult animated comedy Haunted Hotel for a second season, following its successful debut on the platform.
Created by Matt Roller, a writer on the Emmy Award-winning Rick and Morty, the series follows a single mother who, after her divorce, moves with her children into a rundown hotel once owned by her late brother. As she takes over management, she discovers the property is haunted—not only by her brother’s ghost but also by a collection of paranormal “guests.”
Blending supernatural humor with real-world themes, the show explores relationships, teenage struggles, and issues such as suicide through its offbeat narrative.
Haunted Hotel premiered on September 19, 2025, with a 10-episode first season. Its voice cast includes Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson. Within its opening weekend, the series entered Netflix’s Top 10 English-language shows worldwide, drawing 1.8 million views in three days.
Executive producers for the show include Roller, Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, Steve Levy, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
