Idia grossed ₦9.3 million in its first full week (October 24–30) at the Nigerian box office, according to data from the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).
The Nollywood psychological horror opened with ₦1.4 million on its first day and went on to earn ₦6.2 million during its opening weekend.
Weekday earnings saw a mild decline, with daily figures ranging between ₦650,000 and ₦800,000 from Monday to Thursday.
Despite this dip, Idia ranked among the top four highest-grossing films of the week and led as the strongest debut, surpassing Tare (₦6.4 million) and Hollywood’s Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc (₦7.1 million).
Directed by Eze Ariremu and Jide Oyegbile, Idia explores themes of faith, family, and ancestral myth, offering a haunting narrative inspired by Bini tradition. The film stars Mercy Aigbe, Linda Osifo, and Tope Tedela in leading roles.
