Acclaimed director Jake Kasdan is set to return for the highly anticipated third installment of the “Jumanji” franchise.
Scheduled for release on December 11, 2026, “Jumanji 3” continues the adventure inspired by Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 children’s book and the original 1995 film starring Robin Williams.
In a recent update on April 1, the 50-year-old director was confirmed to be working with Sony Pictures on the sequel, bringing back key cast members Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan.
The film is expected to serve as the final chapter of the franchise, which saw a successful resurgence with “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (2017) and “Jumanji: The Next Level” (2019). Kasdan’s return promises to blend humor and adventure, delivering an exciting conclusion for fans.
