Jenna Ortega, who started her acting career as a child, has opened up about her brief stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and why she has since moved on.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight on March 15, the Wednesday actress was asked whether she could see herself joining the MCU. In response, Ortega recalled her small role as the vice president’s daughter in 2013’s “Iron Man 3”, which she filmed at age 11.
“I did it once. It was one of the first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out. I’m in Iron Man 3 for a quick second. I take up the frame, I have one leg, and I’m the vice president’s daughter,” she shared.

While the interviewers suggested that Marvel might have left breadcrumbs for a potential return, Ortega dismissed the idea, citing her lack of credit in the film as part of the reason she has moved on.
“They even took my name away. I count that, then I move on,” she added.
Since her minor MCU appearance, Ortega has built a successful career, starring in major projects such as Netflix’s hit series “Wednesday”.
